As long as you have your main keyword or topic is within the domain, then you are good to go. I take it your site is about online dating then it is perfectly fine. It makes sense and visitors can remember it easily. Another added benefit is you will most likely be in the top listing for the keyword online dating express which makes it great for users that don't like bookmarking..they will simply type the exact phrase into Google and your website will be at the top. So great for easy referencing.

Why exactly would the original author need to register those domains too? I really don't see the point in wasting the extra cash each year. I been buying domains for sometime now and alot of the three word domains do not sell, they are great for niche websites though but if you just plan to buy them all up for branding purposes then I don't see the point especially when those website names will never see the light of day. The only time I would buy up multiple domains is if it is unique and two words in length or if your business is already well established and can afford the added expense.

It looks quite long as for me and if I were you I would try to make it shorter. In any case that is worth to work with abreviations as well.

Promote the site as ODE (OnlineDatingExpress) to avoid such confusions. Mention it in logo/favicon.

Even though the name appears long, I find it easy to remember and so I guess... the length should not worry you in going ahead with it! :)

Shortness and memorability, which is what the DNS has been created for.

My phone number is more easy to remember then that domain name.

If you want to use Online Dating as you keyword then you are stuck with using three words. Those are the times we live in most 2 word keywords are taken up so the next best thing is to use three word keywords. Looking at it from an SEO point of view you simply can not go wrong. How can I testify most two word keywords covering popular subjects have been taken up for one you wouldn't be writing this post if it was not the case and two I buy and sell 2 word domain names and spent hours looking them up searching for those bread winners. They are not easily found.

The keyword is within your domain name and that is a very important part of SEO. Your domain gives search engines and readers the idea that your domain is about online dating which is the whole point. Plus without having to completely brand a whole new name. Branding a very unique name would take years of experience especially if you don't work with a team of people.

Your domain name is fine since it's easy to remember and keyword rich. A shorter word (3-4 letters) might be better than express (7 letters).

That's a good domain. Length doesn't matter as it is easy to remember. However if you could find a shorter domain name that's just as good, you could use that instead.

I don't see anything wrong with the length. It is shorter than the second URL in my signature and that one does pretty well.
