    Hello everyone,

I'm looking for 3 different banners for my slideshow seen on this page:

    http://www.zomex.com/

I'm giving you allot of freedom with these banners as I don't have an exact idea in mind. I'm also not looking for a 100% perfect banner but rather a good idea as I can make changes if needed.

    Details

    Size: All 4 need to be: 960px (w) x 300px (h)

Design: Needs to have a feel related to a web hosting service. As you can imagine the aim of these banners is to simply attract attention and generate sales.

    Colors: Anything that works.

Format: PSD (So I can edit the text if/when needed)

Payment: $10 per banner via PayPal

    Banners

    1) Shared web hosting banner

Anything related to shared web hosting with text to advertise the main points (from $1/month, no overselling, 24 hour support, cpanel, fantastico, uptime guarantee, money back guarantee) < I need a bit more time to think about the text so I'm even happy for you to put "text example 1" etc if it's easier.

Here is my example of this banner (bad):

    http://www.zomex.com/images/banners/slide8.jpg (old size)

^ If you can make a banner that looks much more professional than that you have a chance of winning

    2) Support banner

I just want to get the point across 24/hour personal non robotic support. I do like the idea of showing a generic support rep as it's the easiest way to get the point across and everyone does it.

    My terrible attempt:

    http://www.zomex.com/images/banners/slide6.jpg (old size)

    3) Affiliate banner

I'm looking for a banner advertising our lifetime commission affiliate program. Basically I'm looking for a great background with the classic image of a woman holding money (I know what you're thinking but it works). Here is an imagine I bought if you need one:

I would also like the banner to have text containing the main benefits. e.g

    - lifetime commissions
    - free to join
    - $5 sign up bonus

    Completed banners

    Infrastructure banner: http://www.zomex.com/images/banners/slide1.jpg

    cPanel banner: http://www.zomex.com/images/banners/slide2.jpg

    --

It's worth noting that I'm not looking to pick 1 person for all the banners (although it could happen). I'm also not hear to waist your time. If someone has created something that is close to what I'm looking for I will let everyone know. If this works out I may add more banners requests to this thread and have future jobs for the winners.

    --

For those who need some guidance I like the following:

    http://www.igxhost.com/images/banner4.jpg
    http://www.igxhost.com/images/banner5.jpg

I may have left stuff out so if you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

Thanks very much and I look forward to your responses!

    Here's my attempt for the "Support" banner;
    http://i31.tinypic.com/nxuqtu.png

It should be noted that there is a $5 release for using the picture of the kid (unless you want to give a linkback). I'm fine with that being taken out of my cut (so I would get $5 and the other $5 would go to the release). Feedback is always great =)

    Hello everyone,

Thanks very much for your submissions! I apologize for the late response, I haven't had any time to check this thread until now. I have received a submission via PM for the web hosting banner. I have asked him to make a couple of changes before I accept so it's likely that that he has won for that banner. I have asked him to post that banner here once he has made the changes as proof.

    Leo Ghost

I like the marketing idea behind the banner but the child doesn't really represent robots nor support. I would really like the support banner to include a support rep of some kind. For example:

But I do really like the marketing idea. I like the idea of something like:

    "Robotic support is not acceptable.

Here at Zomex we offer human to human personal support that you deserve at no extra cost!

    That's a guarantee since 25/05/09!"

Lastly while the color scheme looks very, very nice and matches my site completely it almost blends in too well with my site making it less visible.

    ----

    Vfor

You must have thought that I meant $10 for free banners?

    --

    vaibhavmeswani

Your banners are both very nice but unfortunately I have accepted the banner that was sent via PM. However, if he doesn't make the changes then your banners are still in the contest.

    --

    darike

It's seems like you have a mix between the affiliate program (the woman holding money image) and the hosting banner (server + text). I have already chosen the hosting banner but not the affiliate banner. I like the affect you made to the image. I also like the design of the banner but unfortunately the text doesn't stand out enough. Lastly I need the text to be points about our affiliate program seen here:

    http://www.zomex.com/affiliates/

    ____

I can't thank you all enough for your submissions. I appreciate the hard work that you put into the banners. The remaining banners are:

    1) Support banner
    2) Affiliate banner

    NEW BANNER

I have decided to add one more banner to this contest! I want to have 1 banner that expresses this message:

"At Zomex you can leave the computer jargon to us and focus on the success of your website"

I have found a fantastic stock photo for this here:

    http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-11012758-computer-network.php

If someone would like to try and create a banner with that message with the image above I will gladly purchase the stock photo (small - 851 x 564 or smaller) and then send it to the person who has the nicest design to swap (and then win).

    Thanks very much everyone!
    Jack

I wasn't able to find a stock image of tech support on any public domain / loose creative commons sites. I don't deal with stock photos very often, so to be honest I don't know where to begin to look =P

If you can find one you like, we can do kinda like what you want to do with the new banner, just a swap. In terms of blending in / standing out, does this make any difference? (Switched the border color)

I see what you mean. The only banner that's going to hard to find free images for is the support banner. I have provided a stock photo which I purchased for the support banner and can also do the same for the support banner if needed. If you take a look at http://www.istockphoto.com/ feel free to use any photo (not vector images) from their site and if I choose your design I will simply purchase the image and then replace it myself if needed.

That's certainly an improvement. The text is much better but I feel that there is allot of wasted space on the banner.

    Thanks,
    Jack

I headed on over to iStockPhoto and picked out one that I thought would best convey the human touch, without overdoing it. To solve the space issue I added in a quick brush of a wiggly line, I think it pulls off nicely. I also did a bit of rewording on the text to space it better, and change the white to a light blue which highlights the key points but doesn't scream them in your face.

Sounds good then mate. Just for the record, the font is free and commercial use approved, and everything is layered on a cut-out of your site making editing always a live preview. Just let me know how things turn out.
