Would like to get targetted traffic (free) on the site. Will appreciate any ideas on it.

Post on forums and blogs related to your niche and you will gain targeted traffic. You can also write a press release about your new site.

 

You could also do some video marketing on sites such as youtube.com and viddler.com. You could also submit your video to a variety of online video sites to tubemogul.com which is a cool free service. Video traffic is usually very targeted.

There are tons of ways to advertise for free, you just have to look for them and then take action. UNfortunately most people are looking for a "silver bullet" and spend their time trawling forums rather than taking action. Its a hard lesson to learn and its why most people with a website fail.
