1 - Banner on top: consider text - much higher conversion
2 - Maybe try 728x90 on top (best conversion of banners)
3 - Place ad (300x250) within post body and text wrap
4 - Place 728x15 at bottom of page (good for people to navigate when they get to bottom of page)
5 - Borders around text ads generally lower CTR as it looks like an ad

    Hope this helps

To be honest I think the placement of your ads are very poor. You want your ads to stand out and draw the users eyes to the ad. With using an ad in the header it must really stand out. Almost no one now a days will click on a header ad unless it really draws them in. Users eyes will almost always be looking at the middle of the screen for 2 reasons. 1) Looking at the middle of the monitor is a lot easier then looking at the top of it 2) The content of the site is almost always in the middle of he site past the header.

With that being said I would Move a large square ad probably 300x250 right above the "Latest News Headlines" bar. Then the first things the users see will be your ads.

That's just my 2 cents on what to do. I average around 15% CTR using this method.

In my opinion, the placements you have for your content ads that are found at the header for the
leaderboard and at the sidebar for the square box, are just right considering that they still attract visitors
    from your site.

BUT, putting the ad link at the bottom (or on your footer), is BIG mistake. Most people do not usually
navigate anymore or read of what your footer says. They seldom do that.

Here's my suggestion. Make an ad link unit same as the size of the one found on your footer and making
the background color for links as white, and border-less. And put it above the "Latest News Headlines"
bar found in your content area. This will surely attract your visitors and probably will click them. And
keep in mind that ad links help you generate more money.

    Good luck! :)

I have made the changes to my header and added in a larger banner. Thanks! :)

I have taken the links out of the bottom and added them to just above the news stories! Thanks alot! :)

No problem, mate! BTW, forgot to tell you, you can still put an ad link
to your footer to generate more revenues for that. Good luck and
I wish you all the best! :)

Looks a lot better. My eyes are drawn right to the google ad links now. It's the first thing I saw when I opened your site. I forgot where I read this but users on average make their first click within 5 seconds of loading a page. So if they load the page and the first thing they see is the link ads they will more then likely click on them.
