my question is that if you find a Do-Follow forum where no restrictions for posting I mean no moderation and still no one is spamming there also you find a lot of old threads with PR0, PR1 and PR2, posting on these threads will help in PR increase? when you leave a backlink in Signature?

Any followed link from a URL that is indexed "should" help the target URL to increase its PR. I say "should" because there are parts of Google's ranking algorithm that can toss out some followed links and not count them due to things like penalties. And if the source of the link is not indexed and part of Google's link graph then it's not likely that it will be counted as a back link and pass PR.

Posting in forum should increase link's popularity index but things to be noted is forum should not penalized before because of spamming.

Of course, they will help with your rankings... the only problem is that each day new posts are made on any forum ,and the posts with your links will moved deeper and deeper in the forum ...

Your forum backlinks will be even stronger on threads with high discussion and popularity. Make sure to post first in threads that seem to be on the rise.

Posting on many popular forums will get Google sniffing around your website.

Forums do not have to be 'dofollow' and the same goes for popular blogs too.

I have ran various tests and all show that I can get the big G sniffing around a new website in hours by simply blog hopping and forum posting. I always post useful information and try to help the other members and visitors, this also bring in the direct clicks :)

according to my knowledge your SERPs will rise for sure. But if you are talking about PR then it matters that the landing page you have your link on, should have higher PR then yours.

The Dofollow is just a wrong word used by some people to explain a link that does not have a nofollow tag. If an important person has got the explanation set to the default then you can't override that.

Yes, all the DoFollow backlinks will be useful to help your site increase PageRank, even if this is just a kind of backlink that is created in signature.

From my experience they can work but get lost after a time. So only a short term solution I would say.

Forum posting is worthless almost for SEO purposes, but it may send you traffic.

Google only reads the first text link on a page to your domain, so having thousands of similar links from the same domain won't help much.
