My site is http://www.lostgamemanuals.com It's about two weeks old, and I'm having trouble getting it show up on google search engine, and yahoo search engine.
Well Yahoo really takes a while to index your site, Google shouldn't be as hard. Just get some back links to your site and ping them right away and you shouldn't have much trouble getting indexed, have you tried this yet?
Do you have any backlink that point to your site? Sign up in a popular gaming forum and put a link to your site in the signature, then make some USEFUL posts in relevant threads (without advertising your website!). Yahoo Answers are also a must to get your site quickly spidered, find an open videogame question (imagine if you can find someone asking "Where could I find that game manual?"), then give a good (no great!) answer and put a link back to your site in the resource box. But be warned that this may get your Yahoo Answer account closed. And don't forget to add your website to the search engines: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ http://www.bing.com/webmaster/SubmitSitePage.aspx Anyway, just try to find a few relevant backlinks everyday (don't overdo it), add good content to your site, and everything will be fine. Understand that search engines have MANY new websites to crawl everyday, there is no reason to panic yet. Waiting two weeks to get indexed is quite normal if it's your first website. Good luck!
Submit it to different Search Engine, make some backlinks, submit to Social Bookmarking site. Hope You will be indexed.
I get my sites indexed almost instantly simply by posting on identi.ca and include the link within the post. Don't spam identi.ca, but you can say someting like... I just finished uploading my new video (or article or whatever) to my site at... That will do the trick. Also, your identi.ca profile allows you to post a URL, which also gets it indexed fast.
