hi my website is www.worldthissecond.com and i have installed a free wordpress theme and i want to remove the footer message "Powered by WordPress | Free WordPress News Theme by Free WordPress Themes | Thanks to Premium Themes and WordPress 3 Themes" .. please help me to remove this. If i try to change any single word in the coding the page is not working... please help to get rid of this message.
It's called an encrypted link and it is common with free themes, so they aren't really free. Any theme designer will tell you that keeping the links is the trade off for using the theme for free and I have to agree with them. So the right thing to do is not to remove them, or choose another theme where you don't have to worry about it. On the other hand, I looked at the designers page and it makes no mention of having to keep the links in order to use the theme...actually it doesn't mention the links at all and doesn't show them in the demo...I think that is underhanded. Who know what else is hidden in there.
I think you're using wp-theme net ..they are providing very beautiful designs free but encrypted footer link ...you cant changed it dude! as it not even encrypted on footer but theme functions page & almost at all pages too...bad luck
