Should I Get An iPhone 4?

I'm debating whether to get an iPhone 4 or not. I've heard some bad things about it, such as the antenae, but that issue can be countered with a case; and pretty much everything I heard bad can be countered... Any reason why I really shouldn't get one?

I'd be using it to check my Email, do a bit of Tweeting and go on FaceBook. I'd listen to music alot (with either the Ultimate Ear headphones on their store (or do you have any suggestions), or Skullcandy HESH). As I dont have a worthwhile camera at the moment either, I'd use the 5MP camera's on that, and I've eyed up a couple of games and apps I'd frequently use.

So, should I get an iPhone 4 or something else?

I'd recommend Sony Ericsson Satio or Sony Ericsson Android-Running Xperia over iPhone 4G.

I prefer other mobiles as other ones are much cheaper. I suggest Nokia or Sony Ericsson.

Why not its a nice thing to have...

 

If you are a casual user, and it is not going to be used for business, why not ? The antenna problem, like you said, can be covered with plastic so that your body does not destroy the signal.

Other choices would be a Samsung Galaxy S or a HTC EVO... if you are familiar with 4G, you will never go back to 3G. The iPhone will probably not have 4G for a year.


If you are going to load up on apps, Android apps are cheaper.

 

I am using iphone 4 and absolutely no problems whatsoever with reception, and also there is not a smartphone in the world that would not suffer from signal drop if you hold it certain way. The screen and speed of iphone 4 will blow you away. It is fantastic. If you have the money, there is no alternative at the moment.

 

Actually I heard some bad news about the Iphone antenna. for example if you catch it with your left hand you can not talk due to antenna problems with that ( I heard this one in a TV report)

 

The iPhone 4 is dropping calls if you hold the phone wrong, and considering the iPhone 3gs is only $99 with a two year contract I would pick up the 3gs.

 

i love my iphone4... i have a case for it so i havent expereinced the dropped calls.

i had a 3gs and i can say that the scren is soooo much sharper and nicer on the iphone4 plus the camera is much better too. the iphone 4 has a flase and a front facing camera too.. the 3gs doesnt have those.

Id say wait for more reviews to come out. The ones out will be negative because of the over anticipation.

 

Android apps are cheaper than iPhone apps, but Symbian is more popular than both of those.

 

i just checked out getuncommon.com and im looking forward to their iphone 4 cases. i never ordered one for my 3gs but plan to do so for this new phone...

as a photographer i like being able to get my own stuff printed on the case.. just not sure the quality of the prints yet.
