Hello I'm now ranking for three terms that are not highly competitive, between the three, according to google keywords, there are a thousand exact searches per month. For these keywords, i am on page one at postion 6, page one at position 8 and page one at position 10. Yet according to my stats, no one has reached my site in last two weeks according to these terms. Any help guys, any suggestions
May you have not target proper service or product related keywords. You can also add or update some informative content on site, check proper designing layouts and link navigation of sites. and also do keyword research again for targeted services.
I know i am doing the right things, seeking words within google keywords that are not too competitive and have fairly ok search results. Checking within organic search for values lower than a million, if the top site is not optimised, then i hit that keyword. See for yourself. Hi, It's quite unbelievable that your keywords ranking but you don't get visitors. Website get the ranking when often people visit your site. Do one thing just submit your site on high PR directory's. It's actually help you get the visitors.

Also - how inviting are the other listings - is it realistic that anyone will ignore the first nine - or click on them and not find what they were looking for, so go back to the same Google page?
If there are only 1000 searches per month chances are that the bottom of page 1 is not good enough, you need to be 1-2-3. Also take a look at you title and meta description to see if it's appealing enough for people to actually click on compared to the other results in the top ten.
Thanks for the input guys, i'll get back to work, how much more work is required to get the top spot, will it help when the google PR happens, my site is only 11 weeks old. These sites above me are really deep sub catergory pages with low links and of poor quality, i just need a final push. I have had issues with this before, when I first started. This is because when searching for keywords to rank for, you are only looking at the "global" search count and not paying attention to the "local" search count as well. You need to also take a look at the trends to see how those match up to the local search count. The keyword trends need to be as consistent as possible over the last 12 months or else your site traffic will only be seasonal. That is, you will be getting surges of traffic a few months out of the year and it will sit and collect dust in the others.
