If you have a blogger blog and are worried about them shutting down, just save a copy of your articles and if they do shut it down, just transfer them to another blogging platform and build your traffic back up.

I doubt google would do that... at the moment, from what I've seen, they are the most popular blog hosting network over WordPress, Tumblr, etc.

I don't think Google will not close blogger.com for some reason that many are still using blogger.com and Google are keep on improving it.

Blogger is one of my favorite service from Google. I could not imagine why Google would close it. I think it might be a big loss for me, too, since I would lose a lot quality backlinks. :)

    All the best,

If Google closes blogger.com, WordPress will be very happy.
But I don't think that will happen, as blogger.com can bring Google a lot of benefits, such as adsense income, strong awareness...

I agree. Google is earning lots of money from their advertisers and they put their earnings in giving us free applications and tools.

Doesn't blogger take a cut of adsense if you use it on blogger? You can get your own hosting for relatively cheap these days, so no big loss. I really wouldn't worry about blogger going down or any other google related any time soon. They have a monopoly going on that don't look like will be broken any time to soon.

Why would Google do something like that while Google has a good income from Blogger ?
    I don't think so.
But if Google did it; I guess people will just be using something like Wordpress.

I was never against their TOS. I wrote quality posts, unique ones, a bit of link building.
But when my blogs used to start getting a good traffic, they got deleted ;) lol
