The day your page got PR1, how much time, money did you spend? How long did it take?

When did you first get a PR1 (or better)?

From the day you first started working on your site, how long did it take?

How many hours did you put in each day advertising on forums or blogs?

How much money did you spend with directories / articles / yahoo dir, etc?

Did you get a PR1 or did you get something even higher?

I would love to hear your stories, good and bad (but hopefully mostly good) :)

get a PR1, it is not so hard. just do on-page optimization and off-page optimization.

Well, i normally not spend money on the new building site, i might spend about 2~3 hours on the website per week to test on the effectiveness of the link building method, and normally i will able to get PR2 or PR3 on the next PR update, sometime can go up to PR4.

I got pr2 in only 2 months and I worked 1 hour daily. To get pr1 is not a difficult task but you should have quality backlinks at least.

I used to have one site with only some basic SEO jobs on the only 1 home page and have a PR of 2 within 1 month by building quality backlinks from higher PR sources. I am really lucky in catching up with the PR update timely at the end of that month. :)

    all the best,

I actually don't pay much attention to PR, my main concern is where my sites are in the SERPS

But recently, my blog indexed great in Search engine, so i think it will be better in the next update

with my first website I got PR5 from PR0 after 3 months. I had put my link on some PR5/PR6 pages :) that was 3 years ago. Don't know if that works today.

It depends on the site. I have one with thousands of backlinks and decent content that has been around since Nov and it's still PR0. I have another website with a few paragraphs and like 50 backlinks that's PR3.

I think a lot of it has to do with traffic and CTR, moreso than backlinks and whatnot.

I'm also pretty sure I have an article that is PR3 for absolutely no reason.

Page Rank 1 will get very early but not getting high page rank link 6 or 8 very early because it require lot of seo work.

you don't need any money, just some backlinks + probably about 3 month time for Google to recognize and update your PR

PageRank only updates once every 3-4 months. Which is the reason why a lot of people will say 3-4 months and it means that there's no real way to tell how much time you have spent except in intervals of 3-4 months.

4 or 5 quality back links from high PR page increase PR in 2 to 3 months.

No money spent; only time was that used building the site and good SEO techniques; did no marketing of the site other than submitting my sitemap to Google.
