Its not "lounching" and its not "lunching" Its launching. 1. I would grab a twitter account, facebook account or whatever other social media account before anyone else grabs it before me. 2. I would double check it works in all browsers, IE, Firefox, Chrome, (major ones) 3. Make sure I've spelt everything right and I dont sound like an idiot Alex
I just launch it, even if entire sections aren't finished. Then I send the link to 20+ friends/usability testers and get their feedback. I mindmap everything they've told me - then fix/add it all. The reason I do this is because in the last few years I've noticed I don't see the entire picture. There will always be a perspective that I won't see the site from. And because I created it in the first place, I'm naturally jaded. So more people == better website for everyone. The sites I've launched in the last 12 months using this method have been more successful than all the sites I've launched in the 5 years prior.
We test the website & make sure that the website works in all browsers then ask the client to check and sign off on the website and once they are happy launch the website. Make sure you also know what you need to do with the website after launch and how to get it into search engines. There is no real point in having a website that cant be found.
All the suggestions above to this are very helpful. Additionally, you can grab a facebook ad credit from somewhere and advertise it. Do not go for Surf Credits. They are purely useless. Also put a status update on twitter, facebook etc. This should help.
First You need to do a questionnaire about your web site. that mean is your web will able to help them, to achieve their success. It is something like face book help to people to connect with others, so people do a bookmark on it & inform to others to connect with it.
