Online Dating Services - Do They Work?

    I was considering trying an online dating service. I've only known a couple of people that have had any success on them though. Decided to put the question to my fellow DP'ers. Have you had any success with online dating services? Any tips for a newbie? :D

    I am not a big supporter of online dating i would prefer to stay away from it because most of people lie about the truth there

    I own a few but not actually a member of any. I guess its up to you if you feel that you need to use one. Then have to decide if your going to go for a paid or free site.

    my suggestion is have a trial first ,most of them have a free trial.
    Online dating gives you the chance to meet more people,I think this is good

    online dating is good, but you need to check your preferences on doing it... to avoid pervs...hehehe

    I'm not a fan of online dating services as they're 'mostly' for people who are shy and dont know how to go out and meet new people. They feel safer having a computer do the work for them, PLUS there are many weirdos out there...

    BUT, to each is own, give it a try..Maybe it'll work out for you.

    I never trust online dating services. But I never used them also. I guess if you know what you want and you are careful of the service you choose, everything will be good.

    I also don't trust to any dating website these sites have better exposure in first quarter of this decade but after joining of millions of scammers it made things bitter for dating service

    I've been signed up on a few for at least a few months now, and I've only gotten one real response back. In fact, it was just the other day, so the waiting game (at least temporarily) is on hold.

    LavaLife (never really use it though.. it's more of a sex encounters site)

    I have tried them sometimes but they didn't work for me. It seems people don't trust these services to have a real friend.
