    Hi all

I have been here for sometimes and have been hearing people complaining that google has not crawled their websites or blog. So i will like to know if there is a tool or technique to know when my site has been crawled.

The easiest way to check if your site is indexed in google is to just insert your site url : http://www.yourdomain.com in google and you will find the reseults.

Also check by site:yourdomain.com, this will show you how many pages of your website have been cached by google.
    FYI

Check by link:yourdomain.com, this will show you have many official backlinks google has for your website.

    Cheers.

You will know if you have been banned if when you try and search for your domain name in google or use the site: search operator and your site doesn't come up. That is usually the best indicator of your website being removed from the index.

If you have some statistic software installed then you could track them easily by check out their "agent". If they have a word "Google" in its name then your website / page has been visited by them at least.

You got to replace 'yourdomain' with actual domain name to be able to use it! :)

If Google has crawled your site, you will find the indexed web pages of your site in Google by typing "site:www.yoursitedomain.com" in Google if your site is not banned by Google.

Go to google and search "site:yourdomain.com" if a result comes up then your site has been indexed.

You definitely need to register for google webmaster tools. You can also force a 'reindex' of your site through there by making a change to the robots file or requesting a specific url to be added or deleted from their index through the webmaster dashboard in your account.
