Is it true that a wordpress site ranks better than basic html site?

I am going to make a new site. Just wondering how should I keep it.
Wordpress or HTML? I do not want to do anything with Php or Asp etc.

So, what do you think from SEO point of view?

Wordpress is really great. It provides so many SEO related plug-ins. I think that Wordpress is better than static HTML site. You can update the content with ease.

 

New blog posts tend to get crawled and indexed really fast. I don't know if it makes a difference in long-term rankings.

 

I do not think that wordpress sites rank better. From SEO point of view I think better is HTML, because you have full control over everything on the page and can make SEO however you like. The only thing (for seo) that I would miss is the RSS, because you can get some deep links with is. But you can make a RSS to you site with php and mysql.

Every site will be crawled often if it updates its content often. It does not matter if it is on wordpress. In wordpress there is a pinging service, but is can be done in every site with a few php lines.

I think HTML is better but wordpress provides you so many SEO plugins which helps you to increase traffic and ranking.

 

wordpress blogs have good navigation and internal linking structure which makes search engine bots crawl the inner pages better and get them indexed lot faster. other than that, there should not be any other seo or ranking benefits for wordpress blogs. you can do a site and have a good navigation setup and add a sitemap which will work just same

 

My Wordpress blogs generally have been easier to rank than plain HTML websites.

The only difference is wordpress has an auto ping feature which is helping blog get noticed quicker.

 

well, wordpress is really great cms and whenever we post any article in wordpress then it gets crawl really fast thats why i prefer wordpress, and wp is really easy to use and can install many SEO plugins to improve rankings in search engines.

 

I think the both are same. Wordpress is good for new webmasters, while HTML is good for experienced webmasters who like to pay with their own codes.

Wordpress is really good but I would say to prepare by using some technology and do seo of it. This will fetch you results.

 

I'd agree with some of the comments above - in the long-term, both methods should achieve the same results. BUT for the majority of webmasters, Wordpress provides a very user-friendly interface upon which to start with, with thousands upon thousands of available SEO add-ons, plug-ins etc etc...

I've always been with Wordpress, but I'm sure there are many people who are happier creating online content via HTML - each to their own!

I am in the belief that it really all depends on how well the Blog/HTML websites are laid out and how well the pages are linked together.

Good content accounts for a lot these days. A Wordpress based website with a bad design and a not so good link structure would rank lower than a well designed HTML website with a good link structure; and VISA VERSA.

 

Wordpress is very good because it loads pretty fast and the code is very clean (and mostly valid). IF you make a normal html page the likelyhood is that you (or the designer), used a wysiwyg tool which generates its' own code (usually very untidy and invalid). IF you validate and clean your HTML it will probably do better than a wordpress blog.
