Linking to http://mysite.com or http://www.mysite.com. Whats the difference?

I am wondering what difference will it make in terms of SEO to get links to my site using http://mysite.com or http://www.mysite.com as the url. I kind of think my three years old blog is not performing as good as it should because i link to it as http://mysite.blogspot.com. I feel this is affecting the ranking of my home page for my niche keyword. I hope i have express this question clearly enough and i will appreciate any suggestion that will help me.

    Thanks in advance

www or no www will not make any difference in terms of SEO. however, whichever URL you use you stick with that one as use it as a standard.

Pick one or the other then 301 redirect from the loser to the winner. Then make sure all of your internal links point to the winner and also any link from other sites should point to the winner too. That way you won't dilute your link juice between the two.
