You gotta have a list. Anyone who says otherwise is as full of crap as a stuffed turkey.

Listen …I want you to think about something here.

Question: How many “gurus” do you know who don’t have a list?
Answer: None

Question: How many big launches have you ever seen where EMAIL marketing wasn’t the NUMBER ONE method of promotion?
Answer: None

Question: How many super affiliates do you know without lists?
Answer: None

There you go, build a list and sell stuff over and over.

I agree. There are more work going on in the background than what you see on a site itself. A blogger is constantly in touch with his readership through e-mail BUT may not update his/her blog on a regular basis.

The list a such a versatile tool. Not only can you reach people interested in your niche consistently but you can use as a tool to attract other marketers to be affiliates for you. They know if you have a list of 100,000 people or so that if they help you out then you will help them out when they release a product.

 

I have 73 real subscribers. any advice on how I can make $73/month? since I have no use for the list since I sold the website (without the list)

 

Just by staying in contact with your subscribers, you can bring them back again and again with new content that they may other wise miss.

 

I agree with you guys, having a list is very important to make money but it doesn't only go down to that. I can have web site on google first page constantly making money even without a list. Obviously a list brings repeated customers that otherwise would have been lost.

I think they mean that a list is an email list. My email lists come from the forums that I own, a very quick way to get emails!

 

Don't forget that it has to be a list for something you can make money on. I know this sounds obvious but people might spend ages building up a list on a niche that they just can't monetize. It's obvious I know, but it is something that people don't know about or aren't told about because we all want a simple magic single pill solution which generates instant income overnight (and you wonder why the gurus sell the way they do? It's what the masses want to believe to be true but deep down they know isn't).

 

you dont need a list its optional the main thing is get enough targeted traffic and anyone can become a millionaire and that's true. If you have a website selling some fat loss product and your on page one for fat loss product, most likely you can quit your day job and live a happy rich life

 

The OP is right. While it is possible to make money without a list, it sure facilitates the process.

 

Yes, you need a list of customers who trust you. That way you will make much more sales.
