Do you believe Paul the Octopus, world cup predictor?

I heard that Netherlands would win the final, according to some predictions. I heard this in the news.

 

I myself never believed in such stuff but looking at the consistency of the success rate, I am forced to believe that there really is some magical power gifted to this Octopus!

This octopus is in Germany and they have used its services only for predicting the results of matches involving Germany!

Just read in the papers... that Octopus is not only going to predict the winner of Germany v/s. Uruguay match... but the museum people are also going to try and see if it can be put to another test immediately, in making it predict the winner of the final as well.... the only condition being Octopus should not be tired and still hungry after having picked the 3rd place team!

Why they choose paul to make predictions?

Because Paul has something special and able to predict like that.

Paul has made more name for himself. He has probably become as popular as the players themselves.

 

here are some of the possibilities
-it is a sheer concidence
-the whole fifa staff is mixed in match fixing and paying the owner of the octopus.so that when the octopus is correct many times and people have faith in it the octopus predicts a weaker team to win and people win too much.this may sound bad to many but if we reconsider than probability of this thing is higher than some supernatural thing that octopus predicts everything right.however the probability of both the events is much lower than it being a coincidence.and this coincidence would have a very low probability if all predictions were correct.binomial distribution theorem of probability

i hope pauls prediction is right and i won a betting hehe

 

I believe in Paul's predictions , Even today Germany won the match against Uruguay for 3 rd place, which was said by paul before. I think spain might lift the trophy this time as paul predicted .

 

Eg Before big storm , some small animals or insects seem having some predictions.
They will move their home to a safety place , this happens in our side ...

But I don't know much with Paul.

Absolutely, they must have decided to make the final judgement to manipulate, so lots of betting owners will earn a big chunk of money. Paul has already predicted for Spain to win and most of the superstitous betting people will be on Spain side
But it would be a turn around this time, my prediction lol !!!!

I even heard that all the people in Germany were eating octopus the whole day after they lost the match to take a revenge from Paul. They even asked to kill Paul and fry him to have a big meal lol !!!!! PP - poor paul.
