What do you think about it? Will PHP die or stay #1 in web development?

    Thanks!

PHP seems to be extremely vibrant, I doubt that it will go off anytime soon. ASP Net is trying to catch up but I think it has a long way to go. It will remain one of the most popular programming for the foreseeable future.

PHP and WP,, Will always be there,, It's free, most hosts support it with one click to install. How else can you get a full forum or blog so easy..

So yes, it will be around for some time yet...

PHP will stay number one not because it is the best language, but because it is easy to learn and widely supported. There are so many major pieces of software out there it will remain the biggest non-enterprise language for many years.

I am a php/mysql developer. I wanna know whether staying in php and mysql forever would affect my future. Most s/w people are in either java or dotnet. Iam novice in both of them. I love php and i dont wanna shift from it. Please tell me whether staying as a php developer is good enough to have a settled future in spftware industry. Pro's and Con's respected.

maybe one day as possible after golden stage,it will be less common,eg perl

and currently vote more on AS3,

so start rewrite current php script to as3. eg php ---> as3 pagerank script

    for reference only.
