Is it right to have merely one keyword phrase in Meta Tag?

    Hi friends

The site that I created lately has over 50 pages that are effectively optimized for specific keywords and keyword phrases. According to me, the density is also perfect and even the interlinking is quite appreciable. Now, I was working on the Meta tags. But, I couldn’t figure out whether I should use one keyword phrase or all the keywords.

What I had thought was to include a target phrase in the keyword tag. Can you please inform me if there is any downside? What do you suggest; one target keyword phrase or all the keywords will work fine in the Meta keyword space?
   ;)

Try to get some longtail extensions - for example - instead of 'real estate" have 'new york real estate" or other extra words that searchers may type in.

Google does pay attention to some meta tags. It will penalise you if you use them incorrectly. If you can, take your one keyword into the google keyword tool and get 10 more if you can.

lol! good analogy. i've heard the same thing about google not really counting meta data anymore. but if you are defining your meta keywords, you only want to use keywords that are relevant to that page, with content to back it up. i'm assuming you've already done keyword assignment?

I really do think you should have a few more keywords than that but that is just my opinion
