I think it's important to built trust throughout a forum, once people start to trust you they might actually click your signature links and obviously the more you post, the more backlinks you get?

The real trick here is not just getting the link from the forum but from forum members and forum visitors.

Agree. You want to provide accurate and timely feedback and information. You want to assist those within your niche, build a following, and the visitors will follow.

Forum links are almost worth nothing, even if they are Do follow, which most are not.

I own and run a forum,, and if someone just pops in and posts a link to some another site, the link is removed. If it was out and out spam the poster is banned.. But If someone is posting a lot you may turn a blind eye to the odd link here and there.. As long as they don't push too much...

But it never pops into my head that a link on my forum may help some guys page rank, most forum owners don't worry about page rank. The thing that may worry a forum owner is the fact that he may send some of his hard won members off to some other guys forum..

Forums are communities where information is shared and sometimes is necessary to share a link when a member is asking for something available on other site. Otherwise we had to say:

Personally I ran away from those forums. Moreover, if we plan to put content of other sites in a forum we should place the link to the source.
Digitalpoint forums would not be that popular if the owner decided to remove links.

No offenses but you are selfish with your members. And your forums won't last longer.

The method I am showing helps the community.

They might be useless, but useful for promotion among the forum members. Some webmaster will potential link to you. Of course, if your site worth it.

will signature in a forum really bring you juice from the page rank?

Also for some forum that the first page's page rank is 4, for exmaple. However, once you get into the forum root page, it shows the page is not rated at all! were this matter?

Not really, forums structure can be recognized easily by Search engines so link signatures are not counted for link juice. However, the link inside the post might be counted. A link inside a forum post is always related to the thread and link signatures are not always related. You should read the definition of pagerank. It clearly says pagerank is the probability of a visitor clicking on a link the more probability to get a click the more pagerank the page gets. So do you think your link signature here in digital point would take clicks and pagerank. Better try posting something useful along with a link to a good article. That gets the pagerank!!

If you're new to a forum, start a thread on a controversial topic within your niche. Have your first post be long and have a strong opinion about the topic. You want a topic that is really polarized with people for and against. Participate in the discussion and then when it has 20+ posts, add your signature.

Good tip. However, signatures are not longer worthy for SEO purposes.
