Norton Blocking Affiliate Links, AdSense & Webmaster Revenue!

    Well Norton has changed the default ad blocking to OFF in the latest version. Dont know if all my articles and negative PR helped or if someone big like Google made them do it. Anyway it's a HUGE improvement although millions probably still have older versions.

    Thats good that the new version has been fixed i dont know what they were thinking it is like running a business wih no stock if a website that generates revenue from ads has no ads. If you know what im saying

    I believe this is a non-issue. So what if people block your ads. Your time is better spent focusing on the content of the site to keep visitors on your site. That software may block an ad here and there... but it seems most likely to block scripted ads. Keep your ads strictly html and you should be fine. Host all your content, don't leave the ads hosted on the affiliate companies sites. If all your ads are hosted on your site, then how is Nortons going to know which is an ad and which is a real link... especially if you use software that turns the urls into something like:

    domain.com/productname instead of domain.com/productname?affid=myaffid123

    Just a thought...
