I am getting just over 2000 hits a month, but I am in a very competitive niche. Work from home. I do have good pagerank though, but would love to up my traffic as well as new members. I have submitted to directories, used link exchanges, setup two forums, and a blog. Its joomla based, and the links aren't too friendly. Any Input on this would help.

    Thanks

Hope this is the right place to ask for opinions and help on this.

Update your blog more often with keyword rich content. It should get you some more organic search traffic which counts the most anyway.

BTW, if the site in question is the first one in your signature, then it probably won't be long before the AdSense team starts complaining about your displaying images next to AdSense.

    Cheers!

I also find work at home affiliate program type niches to be hard to get traffic. I have been doing this for nearly 4 years and get more traffic than you, but it is hard. My site has a PR6 aswell and is rank high in the search engines. There is just not that much traffic for this niche as to what there are for entertainment sort of niches.

I got the idea about the adsense pics from http://adsense.sitesell.com/

So even with a PR6 not really making any money?

I am about over this niche, and on to something else.

Thanks for the open sef link.

    I appreciate the replies :)

Try promoting actively - directiories, paid ads, etc.

It sounds as though you may have exhausted free promotional methods, which are good for steady organic traffic albeit not high volume, so I'd suggest developing a few paid campaigns using solo ads and pay per click.

You already know the promotion methods. Just speed up your campaigns and post quality content.

Have you tried any free traffic exchanges? Your niche may do good in one them. I use several to promote my own websites and get a good amount of new daily signups. You can also post at oonti.com it's a free promotion service I offer.

It's ideal to have both contents and links. Links get you higher search engine rankings, whereas content keeps visitors coming back. There are plenty of good contents on the web. Effective link building can give you the edge over the competition.

After optimizing your links, you can submit your pages on as much social bookmarks as you can. Write article and submit it to articles directories. You also can use of PPC advertising networks to make your website more popular.
