What is it that makes you stand out?

------------please only respond if you write to make money------------

    1. Is it getting a certain amount of money/article?
    2. Is it writing to please the writer?
    3. Is it writing to produce your buyer-client the most site visitors?
    4. Is it because of creativity or originality?
    5. Is it because of the quantity of business you get?
    6. Is it because of SEO, Structure, Art of Writing, & Creativity?
    7. Is it writing that gets the most sales or new clients?
    8. Is it because you target women readers?
    9. Is it because you have a portfolio versus samples?
    10. Is it because you consistently learn and try new ideas?
    11. Is it because you read the books of marketing gurus?
    12. Is it due to increasing sales and marketing strategy?
    13. Is it because 40% of your business is repeat orders or referrals?
    14. Is it because you present a packaged group of services?
    15. Is it because you know it all and are so darn good?

Use any of these choices or use your own.

---this is your chance to express what makes you tick---examples are very welcome---

I'm a content writer because I enjoy learning about changing search engine trends. It's almost like a puzzle that you need to keep working. You can't just put up content and forget about it. You need to continually learn about SEO best practices and apply new techniques as appropriate.

Also, the money doesn't hurt. =) Content writing also pays more quickly than print writing. I just wrote an article for a magazine, but I won't get paid for it until August.

I write web content because I enjoy researching subjects to write about. I am quite knowledgeable about things I would know nothing about, as a result of being a writer. I could tell you how to clean jewelry, run a vending machine business, or what it takes to be a truck driver. All because I have researched and written about these things in the past.

It increases my knowledge, and I love knowledge.

I started writing articles as a way to earn a little extra money. I don't go looking for new customers all that often - I have a couple of repeat customers that make up the majority of my business. These days I spend more time writing books than articles. I still do articles and blogging as a way to top up my income, though.

Most of the time I stick within my specialisms, but occasionally I'll branch out into other subjects. Like most writers, I love learning about a wide range of topics.

Etali: I have authored books as a "ghostwriter" for clients. Also I have in 2 occasions assisted others in this area. Can you expand on that concept, as to how the response has been. I know that unless it is a get-richer-quick sucker book it is often hard to find enough takers. Would you be willing to share a little more on your experiences in this area? Has it been internally rewarding, financially rewarding, etc. Thanks--------------

TopContentWriter You gave off between the lines a word that gives me a fantastic amount of worth betting on feelings in your writing career. That inside word was the ability to adapt to change. Not only in writing, but in other occupations like sales, the unwillingness to adapt is one of the major killers of a career. You are right about search engine change. With Google's methods Bringing back in stop words like "a" and "the" into the fold, plus looking at a sting of search words that are not taken because of being in a string, but now as single words, in the right positions. This cause me to complete revamp the way I need to help others in writing correctly. Thanks to you for bring about the adapting or failing concept.

Matt you brought you the refreshing part of how you are learning about be very adept at subjects that before you would not give a second glance. This is also a key here to remember, that even if you end up talking about a subject 100 unique ways, if you remain keeping that fresh concept approach, remember then it will also be the first time you reader it looking at it through your eyes. ---a great point.

Xyzgogo, unfortunately you might have, but I doubt received the best advice. Do you own the website? Are you combining content writing with article writing? Remember that one good extra effort high quality structured article, has entices the reader to respond is worth at least 20 of the boring, comatose articles surrounding it. If able to, you may consider increasing your writing talents.

Unlike others I welcome all 3 of your, for your willingness to express yourself. Never ever believe the stupid "noobie" doobie talk of those who think they are superior, because they have been here longer. As you will see, others they will take cheap shots, but do not let that stop your drive to get where you want.

I am giving all four of you a recognition star, as being well needed contributors.

I try to balance. I won't work only for money, doesn't motivate me enough; but I also won't write for someone else for free.
