Hey, I think this is an on-page SEO problem, so I guess this post should go here... I'm working on a website www.hotels-tours-safaris.com and I'm very confused at the moment, I hired a graphic designer to do the images, and he also made images for the sidebar and navigation bar, which already contains the text as part of the image... I used alternative text and gave it the contents of the image (the words, e.g. Home, About, etc.). Why won't search engines index my content? Bing and Google haven't even started to change my old content to the updated content. Yahoo has only updated my home page which is the page at www.hotels-tours-safaris.com, as if it didn't even see the image links... I really don't know what to make of it, if anyone can take a look and guide me in the right direction to get my on-page SEO right I will be very grateful... Thanks
It would not be possible for me to tell you the exact reasons before reviewing your website. It would be better if you can share your website url. Meantime, keep building quality backlinks.
Hey man, thanks for your quick reply... Yeah sorry I can't post live links yet, but here is the website address: www.hotels-tours-safaris.com
Hi, I have reviewed your website and found that your content has been indexed in both Google and Yahoo. Try to search yourself.
your site is index. but i didn't liked the way it looks . I dont think you will have good conversion ratio. Improve it dude
The pages that are indexed is the old pages, I uploaded the new pages a few weeks ago... You said I should improve, can you please tell me what you would have done differently? Thanks
hello, you will have to some wait of google re-crawling but do regular off page activity don't stop..
Yes Google or search engine can't read the images. It focus only on text. Images play role for SEO when you use your keyword in alt tag of image. Alt tag will be crawl by search engine and is the part of on-page optimization that is called image optimization.
your last cache date is 18 jun 2010 right..? if you want to cache that page then do some efforts to cache newer version of that page like feed submission is best way to cache your pages and you can go for bookmarking also..in short spread your links where google crawler can cache your updates easily. best luck
It always takes a while for the SEs to update. It will take a few weeks. I woyldn't worry, just ping your site at pingler.com to alert the SEs that you've updated your site.
