I've been checking my results and each hour I recive from 500 links to 2500 links, and my position for keywords changes too sometimes within minutes.

What is happening here? Anybody knows?

Google have a couple of datacenters and they do not always have the same results, you may be in page one on one of the datacenters but that doesn't mean that you're holding that top spot on the other

Here's a tool so that you will know what datacenter your browser is producing.

All of the data centers may not be using the same index. It's not uncommon to see results "shift" depending on which data center your query is routed to. There are a variety of online tools that will display search results from several data centers at once, and you can see the differences. You can try McDar's Google Data Center Watch Tool or the one at SEO Chat.

    Yeah, I agree with CReed

Google has thousands of servers running and every now and then servers will crash, which might change the results as well. Nice links too, CReed - thanks

Different DCs.. Heh, you may be seeing the same results and still be getting them from different datacenters. Anyway, things are a little screwy with Google at the moment.

Things are always looking screwy with Google, but I think it's good that they are always in a perpetual state of motion. Hell, I just wish the motion was always forward.

It is a waste of time trying to see data center results. No matter how you get to Google DCs by IP or by name you will not know what DC you are looking at.
They use IP shadowing/switching in their Cisco Web Router / Switches to send you at any of the DCs that are not busy. Load balancing is what it is called and you will never know what DC you have. Even if you check the DC cache IP once clicked it can take you to any DC results to view the cache.

So no matter what tool you use. You will never understand what DC are realy doing. They take them out of rotation and then put them back you never would know. IPs could all be pointing to same Servers and you would not know and each server when giving results could change on next request.

They will never let you know what they are doing now that all is load balanced.

    Example:

Desktop request to Google - IP 192.168.0.1 behind firewall and through CISCO switch goes to internal IPs of 192.168.1.1 or any of the other DCs assigned to a load balancing group like 192.168.1.2. The returning information to the desktop will appear as though it comes from 192.168.0.1 where your request was sent but it was really answered by different machine. 192.168.1.2

    True SEO is
    good quality Site code
    good Quality Content updated regularly
    easy to navigate website

All this = good site for web users to visit = good site to list in search engine.

    Hope this helps.
