Need help to remove spam in the footer of wp home page

I have no idea how it got there and even less of an idea of how to get rid of it but when I do a view page source on the page there is a ton of spam in the footer and I can't get rid of it. I even removed the footer php in my theme editor but it still shows on the main page but not the others. Any Ideas?

this happen to me before, you need to update your wordpress and delete that template.

 

No need to delete the template, just clean the footer.php or any other template file of the spam lines, and make sure your wordpress plugins are all up-to-date as well. If you continue to watch your template files being overwritten by spam bots, then you might need to have someone check your website and server for file integrity.
