I thought of that but so many of the sites looked like scams and the ones that looked half neat were just too out of budget for me.
maybe internet money making isn't for me.
    Thanks for your help.

Steer100....DON'T GIVE UP!!! There's no reason to consider that internet money making isn't for you. I've been doing Internet Marketing since 1995. There are many, many sites you can check out if you want to use paid marketing, but there's 1,000's of
ways to market your program without paying anything....Do some Google Search on the subject....just put in "free advertising" in the search area and see what comes up.....consider Blogs for starters.

    OK...
Well I have been trying so hard to get people on my site for so long and the people that do just go straight away without clicking through anything.
I have tried everything from paid for viewing webpages then exchanging this for your own to link exhnages, none have been successful and just benefit the owner rather than the user.
Any advertising tips on how to get people on my site then?
Do you think the site itself is good enough?
    Thanks

For these types of site, i don't think search engine traffic or traffic buy are your best option. May be forum marketing on your niche would be a good start.

Do you mean going on money making forums and advertising my site?
I do this non stop on sites that allow it but generally its not allowed/users get angry/users tell others not to go on it etc etc it really hasn't been successful.
Although, if you have any suggestions for a good forum I will give it a try.
    Thanks for your help!

For immediate results, you can go for PPC. With Google AdWords, you can set your daily budget, so your campaign can be as cheap or as expensive as you want. $10 per day can get you better traffic than you think!

As for free advertising - yes, there really is such a thing! Article marketing is free. You can write articles devoted to your niche and submit them (for free) to article directories. Each article is a backlink; plus, you'll get more eyes on your link, which can drive up your traffic. Article marketing can take some time to gain momentum, but the articles you publish can have long-lasting effects. For example, a year from now, someone may stumble across one of your articles, like it, click on your site, and buy something. With PPC, the results stop as soon as you stop paying the bill. Most IM'ers use a combination of the 2.

    Steer100,

I actually read the content on you site and that is a really cool idea. Honestly, I don't know why the kids aren't hitting it up every day. One thing I did notice is that the site looks really dull. You need some bright colors and a flashy outlay. Maybe you could convert it to Wordpress and download a pimped out theme. There are tons of them for free. Then, post some articles on it describing in detail how you received free items and what you had to do to get them. That will get your visitor hungry to click through. Then syndicate your articles. Remember to post a link in each article pointing back to your site. Finally, submit your RSS to feedburner. Do these things and I bet you see a jump in traffic.

Personally, I would stay away from Adsense unless you really know what you are doing. It is a great way to lose money if you are not completely in tune with how to use it.

PM me and I will tweet a link for you on my twitter account. I have 5000+ followers. Free stuff should get some clicks...:)

There are MANY ways to promote your site. I am not sure if you have done this but you should try SEO techniques. But I have to remind you that you get what you paid for. If you want quality traffic it will cost you. You can also try social media sites. You seem to have a niche that would definitely attract users at social networks, people there love free stuff.

On another note, if you are willing to invest some money, you can buy an email marketing campaign, or simply buy traffic from a reputable source.

Google Adsense. That's how I'd push starter traffic to a new site. Do some social bookmarking, and drop links on stuff like twitter and facebook. Just don't make it look to spammy. That's how I used to start a site off.

Try posting fliers locally. That generally can generate a bunch of traffic especially if you pass them out at a local University of Community College
