Clicking your own Affiliate Leads

Affiliate programs that pay per leads. What if im the affiliate and the lead? Are you able to do this? Or are you not able to use your own links to sign up for offers/buy products/etc. I know you can't click your own google adwords links, but im talking more affiliate programs that are based on leads to get you email info etc.

    Thanks

Using of your affiliate links to buy or purchase a product from any company is not allowed at all.
Don't do it if you like to stay as an affiliate.

That is a big no no with all affiliate partners. You must generate valid leads if you expect to get paid.

see you cant fill your own lead form but if you ask about buying a product with your own affiliate link - you can do that - after all you are promoting the sales only and the commission is only payable when you complete the transaction.

    Hope this helps...

Even if you manage to do so, in long term the quality of your lead will count. but I would recommend against doing so

Thanks everyone. One of my affiliate companies I go through is escalate media, I sent them an email and asked if I was allowed to sign up for offers with my affiliate link. I am interested in the offers I promote. The response was that I COULD sign up for offers with my affiliate link. I guess I will email my other affiliate programs individually and ask.

Just do it. Don't ask anyone.

That's a cardinal Affiliate Marketing sin! and the quickest way to get banned from any affiliate program

Haha... correct, moneymarketer. What's the point of being an affiliate? The purpose of being an affiliate is to help the merchant get VALID sales. I suggest you avoid doing that if you want to be an affiliate for the long-term.

I would definitely ask first. But you may be better off not doing it all. The consequences of losing your deal with the affiliate outweigh the benefits of clicking your links.
