I need to know a few things before I start writing up my content. How many keywords per article? How many times to repeat each keyword? How long should the article be? Also, say I have five pages of good, keyword rich content. Should I build links for every page and their separate keywords? Or would building links for the home page raise the SERPS of the content pages on their respective keywords?
How many keywords per article? that depends on the article length and your campaign objective. if you are submitting to article directories, then 2 keywords per page/article is good. if you are adding the content on your site, then you can use one primary keyword that is your high dollar targeted keyword and 2-3 additional secondary keyword. How many times to repeat each keyword? those days of 14% or 22% keyword density for site content are long gone. such high rate of keyword repeating will get your site penalized with google for keyword spamming /stuffing. i myself use about 2% kw density which seems to work fine for me. ezinearticles is a reputable article directory that also dont accept any articles that are 2% or more in kw density which gives you an idea about the safe kw density level. How long should the article be? again, that depends on your objective. if you are submitting to article directories, go with the rules per directory where some site will accept 250 words article, some will not accept any less than 300 words or even 450 words. in terms of site content, more content the better. try to do atleast 400-500 words per page with more being better Should I build links for every page and their separate keywords? Or would building links for the home page raise the SERPS of the content pages on their respective keywords? if you have secondary keywords on the inner pages, then you will need to build backlinks for your each keyword to each inner page including link building for the primary keyword on the main page. for more info on how to write a good article, read my blogpost here: http://www.seofocused.com/blog/seo-content-writing-how-to-write-that-perfect-article
Naledge there really is NO RIGHT or wrong answer as to the correct keyword density. I always say, enough to get you crawled and few enough to be easy on the human brain reading the article or content. Remember that QUALITY should always supersede quantity. On that same note, the length of the article is pretty much subject to the amount of information you have to present. The more informative your article the better off you will look to your readers. Remember that article marketing should not just be about link building and increasing traffic. Articles should bring you credibility and make you an authority in whatever niche it is that you will be writing about. Now, with regards to inner pages. I am more inclined to recommend that you FIRST concentrate on placing your home page well in SERPS. Once you are indexed and placing comfortably in SERPS than begin the SEO link building for the inner pages of your site.
I'm going to come off sounding quite snarky here I'm sure....but how about writing your articles for human readers first? Personally, I've never even bothered seeing how rich my keywords are. Even if Google counted it for 10% of the algorithm, I wouldn't worry about it because so many other factors are more important in regards to SERPS....writing for an actual human (you know, your potential customers) will get you a higher % click through rate.
^^^ This x 1,000,000,000 and then a million more. If you write content fairly well and write it for your readers, you should be able to have a keyword rich article without even trying. In terms of article length, again, just do what makes sense. You should focus on building a large site with lots of content, so there is really little need to fluff an article just to make it longer. And last, the link building. If it were me, I would focus more on the homepage than my inner pages, but then be sure to link to my inner pages from my homepage as well as interlink them together... <== only when it makes sense though, don't force it. Make it sure it is natural. Also, when you do link for your pages, you definitely want to use your main keywords for anchor text, but also try and use variations as well. For example, if you do something like: Write Seo Rich Content - Writing Content for Search Engines I would not only get links w/anchors like "write seo rich content" or "writing content for search engines" but I would also anchors with longtail phrases too like: Seo Rich Content Seo Rich Content Writing Rich Content Writing Writing Rich Content for Search Engines Write Seo Rich Content for Search Engines etc, etc, etc.... That's how I would go about it. Hope that helps.
I could not agree more. Too many people concentrate too much on a specific number of keywords per number of words and personally I think it makes it much harder to write the article. I try to explain to my clients that I write quality content articles that a human can read and a brain can understand. Quality over Quantity ANY time!!! And that includes keywords and informative content.
I suggest limit one keyword and repeat it 3 times on every articles you made. Bookmark every pages or post to build links on it also do directory submission.
depends on your article length whether you have 350 to 500 words count article means you can use two kewords and repeat it 2 times in your article... Normally i am using 2 keywords per article. link building is the good methord to get back links .
