Well, I think making BST paid will not work but the thing we need here is improve the reporting system. Like people can report mass number of threads at a time or something like that. It would work best in this situation.

I agree with SW completely. Lessening the flood time (From 60 seconds to 15-30 seconds) on reporting posts would help big time. Look at how many members are premium. Why are there so few? Not a lot of people can afford it, so how could they afford the BST?

They don't give a fuck. PM them directly and ask them to do the right thing.

The answer will make your eyes glaze over.

Just to be clear, the reason people don't go premium on here is because there's no value in it. What do you gain?

As for affording the BST, I think you'd be surprised what even a token charge would do to clear out the retards. Even a $5/yr charge would at least penalize people who register multiple accounts. It would provide a strong disincentive to some of the worst offenders, who seem to have an endless supply of accounts.

Actually if no one gives a FUCK to what we or you all think then why discuss all this shit. Start making your sites with services and promote it. I best you will get thousands of more orders than you get in a forum. So better make money and don't shit around here where no one cares what it's members have to think.

I feel the time has come that the Admin starts paying the mods. (if he hasn't already, i mean :p)

Money is a financial-motivational incentive. Works wonders in the administration/management field all over. ;)

...Mods don't get paid, they do it for FREE. Volunteer. No money. No $$. They spend their time deleting pointless threads/spam for no money whatsoever.

    Give them a break.
    At least in my opinion.

The BST section in DP is something I used to love till a few months back when they removed the bump feature. Now, you create a thread, especially in the link sales section and it gets buried in the second or third page in just a few hours after which you are practically gonna get 0 leads even if you offer a truly good service at an affordable price. Apparently, the rationale behind removing the bump feature was because buyers would anyway use the search feature and search for the services they want and hence a thread does not need to be on the first page for one to get leads from that thread. But this does not work at all. Either prospective buyers do not use the search feature or when someone searches they find 1000's of results and again the chances of your sales thread getting required visibility is negligible. Previously, the system was so very efficient. The sales threads of top services were always on the first 3 pages because there was so much activity in that thread and it would get bumped to the top. I remember some top quality services which were started 3 years back still used to be in the homepage every now and then because the service was good and there was lots of demand for those services. Now, as a buyer, finding a truly good service has become very difficult here at DP.

As a seller, I would prefer paying $20-25 to start a sales thread rather than starting a thread free of cost and getting absolutely no leads from it because it gets off the first page in an hour or two from starting the thread. If a seller is not able to afford $25 for starting a sales thread, it probably means he/she does not have a good service to offer. Because if the person offers a service that is even halfway decent he can get back his investment of $25 in no time. I think the admin/mods should either come out with ways to keep the low quality useless sales threads off DP or should bring back the bump feature where the market will automatically identify top sales threads by giving them a lot more visibility that those offer junk services.

Yes, I'm aware of the feature in WF but not all prospective clients here on DP are on WF. They are two different markets, although with a bit of overlap.

I am saying, if you really want to pay $20 for a thread, go to the Warrior Forum.

See the attached pic, the bump feature exists at DP, and has for a while now.
