    Do you people even the read the posts (not JUST the title) before responding? He's not asking which search engine is best... The question is which search engine is best for acquiring link data about your competitors.

    Google is NOT the best for this. Their LINK: operator only shows a small sample of links.

    Yahoo! Site Explorer (or the LINK: operator at Yahoo!) provides a MUCH better picture of the back link profile for your site AND your competitor's sites.

    you are right mate but google webmaster tool would shows you a exact backlink which you have and according to me it's batter options to chose that tool instead of yahoo site explorer
