Oh! one more service from Yahoo! closed. Sad...It seemed to be really popular with people who had been banned from Adsense.

The correct answer is... who cares, it's done, get over it.

Why did Boston lose to LA? It doesn't matter... they did.

It's closed? I didn't know that, when did it close and has it closed to all countries. Thought it was taking a bit long to come out of beta stages.

Low business, low revenue, low advertiser are the main reason.

I'm thinking to apply YPN as adsense alternative, but too bad it was closed.

I didn't know it had closed, but I'd not been tracking it as I am in the UK and so it wasn't available to me last time I checked... having said that, I was awaiting approval by Adshack to run Yahoo ads through them.... I wondered why nothing seemed to be happening with that.

Yahoo closed down since they did not earn enough money. As simple as that. Shame that they closed down, they could have challenged Google Adsense.

Looked for answers from the source, the YPN blog ypnblog.com, but didn't see anything interesting except for the official communication from Yahoo. Maybe because they were not satisfied with the amount of fraudulent traffic sources, or it stayed isolationist by restricting Europe and anyone outside the United States. Did more looking and found an excellent comparison table (recently updated) between the big G, the big Y, and the big M.
