Killer Article Marketing Tips To Know

    Hey guys,

Here's a few article marketing tips that I've already
shared with my lists and though I'd give everyone
a hand that's still struggling to make their articles work
    for them.

If you ask me, I would have never believed two
years ago that some tiny "simple" articles would
help me drive my online business through the
roof top even though I don't have an English degree
    or anything of that sort.

If you haven't implemented article marketing
into your campaigns yet, you're seriously leaving
some money on the table, believe me!

Some fellows use to write a few articles, get nothing
in return and unfortunately give up. Article marketing isn't
rocket science you just need to know a few things
and only then start scaling up the process.

It's a number's game folks ! The more you write the
more sales and leads you'll generate :)

Here are the most powerful article marketing tips that
you must apply to all the articles that you publish online.

    1. Quality information. Let's be honest, most articles
that you come across are junk and the sad truth is that
they will not convert into a sale, they're simply useless.
People are looking for quality information to solve their
problems. Do not "SELL" in your articles but "PRESELL".
Give your readers "some" information in the article, send
them to your landing page and let the vendor do the
    selling part.

    2. Keep your articles short and simple so that they're easy
to read. Writing for the web is different than writing
for off-line publications. Keep your writing brief and write in
short paragraphs. Never get too technical in your articles, that
might make your readers get bored quickly.

Be concise. Get personal with your readers and
only give them the information they want. Firstly You have to
do your keyword research first to get to know your market
    better.

    3. Catchy titles. There's no secret behind it, here's an example of
    a catchy title --

Amazing Tips to Get Your Ex Back Fast - Proven Methods to Get Your Lover Back Into Your Arms Guaranteed (Within 3 Days)

Always use words such as guaranteed, proven, amazing, unique etc..

    4. Never put all eggs in one basket. You'll have to distribute
your articles to more than one article directory. I always
submit mine to roughly 12 article directories. Submitting
your articles to 12 articles directories only means more traffic,
    sales or leads.

Don't worry about duplicate content, that's just
a myth. Most of my duplicate articles are constantly sending
    traffic and generating sales :)

    Here's my killer list:

    http://www.searchwarp.com/
    http://www.isnare.com/
    http://www.a1articles.com/
    http://www.articlecube.com/

    5. Always publish your articles on your web site -- (That's extra traffic).

    6. Always use RSS Feeds To Syndicate Your Articles to all interested parties. Find a list of the top RSS directories and submit your feed every time you publish new articles.

    7. Creating an ebook. If your articles are good enough, use them to create and ebook and give it away to your readers on your blog or use it as a freebie on your squeeze pages.

Happy writing -- go for it !

Article marketing has to be done consistently and constantly --

Lets bust a few myths. A few articles can't make you rich, most of the people that have succeeded online with article marketing alone have thousands of articles published (maybe tens of thousands of articles) across several article directories.

Submitting lets say 100 articles a week (it may sound a bit too much to do it all by yourself but you can always hire someone to write killer articles for as low as $3 for 500 words) will keep the traffic flowing to your landing pages. Imagine it all ads up, within a year you'll have 1200 articles that are constantly sending traffic and generating sales for you (that's what I call a business)

I've published roughly (2000 articles) last year alone that are still generating a nice monthly income, and I haven't even touched my websites for the last few months (I've been busy with some of my other websites and a product launch so the extra income that all those articles have generated surely came in handy)

Article marketing is time consuming - I hear this often...

Well it's a lot better than starting off with PPC (with no knowledge) and ending up losing your money and getting nothing in return.

good tips precious, As someone who has published well over 3000+ articles, I know that article marketing really works. You have to dig deep and put your own twist on things. Just remember everyday things are changing and you need to adapt. You may realize that something may work for someone but not for you. You have to find your own space and milk it for what it's worth.

    Test different titles
    test different writing styles
    test different resource boxes
    etc etc

test test test until you find something that works and continue to do it

    Article Marketing Rocks

Cheers mate. Testing is what affiliate marketing is all about/ Most people will end up wasting their time trying to rank articles for some of the top keywords, which isn't the way to go in a crowded market.

Some more TIPS. A deep keyword research is vital in your campaigns / pick 50/100 long tail keywords related to your niche and write 2/3 articles daily based on those keywords (the keywords should not have more than 2000/3000 optimized results in google (optimized results are the number of sites that are competing for an "EXACT" keyword).

Really good tips..... I too make a living out of article marketing and i have thousands of them out there. The list of article directories you gave is quite helpful. I use some of them, and a bunch of others. I however have this question: Which articles directories have automatic publishing?

I know hubpages, ideamarketers, goarticles have automatic publish. Articlesbase too has it, once you have 20 or so articles published with them. But are they any other articles directories which automatically publish your articles when you submit them? Thanks...

    @waxman1000

Not any that I'm aware of. (hubpages, ideamarketers, goarticles and articlesbase do indeed)

I've received two PM's regarding the number of articles that one is required to publish across a year span to be able to make a living. (There's not an exact number that I can come up with, but to be honest if you're not able to write/outsource (what ever you choose) at least 1000 articles per year, then you can't make a living of article marketing alone. (that's roughly 3 articles a day) which should be all that hard for anyone.

Lets see some "numbers" -- Guys this is off my experience (I'm doing this for over 2 years now)

I can drive roughly 100,000 visits to my landing pages with roughly 1000 articles - Can be a little less or maybe a bit more (assuming my CTR on my bio box is roughly 20% which is pretty high and my articles get 500,000, exactly 100,000 people will see my landing pages)

Again, assuming I have an overall conversion rate of 1 : 120 hops (for some niches I get sales every 30 hops on average), that means 1000 articles will generate roughly 833 sales (+/-). If you're promoting a product with a payout of $40.00 that'll be $33320.00 a year.

Imagine having 2000+ articles out there and distributed/promoted correctly (that'll be roughly $33320.00 x 2 = $66640.00 a year) which is an average salary for a surgeon in the U.S or the UK (the difference is that some of your articles will generate sales/ for months or years to come)

If you were to write all the articles yourself, the $66640.00 would be pure profit otherwise if you choose to outsource 2000 articles they will cost roughly $6000 which is 10% of the NET income. Still $60.000 profit :)

This post is just speculative of what you could be earning with article marketing alone (as Casey said above -- if it works for some of us it doesn't mean it'll work for everyone in the same manner).

P.S The income that you'll generate will largely depend on the niche you're promoting. I've said this in another post and I'll said again, failure is something you must go through to succeed, I've burned over 600 articles myself last year alone, wasting my time with the Acne Niche/ Penis Enlargement and Gaming. (not attacking anyone but the most products in this niche simply don't CONVERT)

excellent post! Is it profitable to hire someone to write articles for you? I know it can be as cheap as only $3.00 per article but in the long run have you been able to turn that around and make a profit?

Also if you believe that duplicate content is just a myth, what is stopping people from just stealing thousands of articles from other publishers and just using them?

    -Thanks

    @Le Dangles

Yes, I do outsource most of my articles (in fact roughly 80% of my articles are outsourced) and yes you can make a profit, read my post above for some rough estimates if you were to outsource all your work.

Because it's illegal and I wouldn't do that myself, Imagine someone stealing your articles, how would that be ?

That is very clear and exhaustive explanation on how to use article marketing to get traffic to your site as well as make sales as an affiliate. I have been doing some outsourcing for my articles. I can tell you all those "$3 per article" are useless. You can use them along with yours. If you are not able to write a few 300 word articles for your product on daily basis within a couple of hours, article marketing is not for you. And if you are starting out without any inflow of cash getting good outsourced content is difficult.
Yes, volume is the key to get sales and traffic.

Unfortunately people do that. I found one of my articles on a typical skin problem changed just to another similar skin condition word by word and ranking quite high. It was a well researched article for a competitive key phrase. I feel sad for not being credited for the original article. Lots of people publish my articles removing the links.

I've seen lots of sites come online with equal budgets and while the high volume article approach had a better initial impact the value of the articles didn't hold and over a short 6 month period the gains from quality/expensive articles was really obvious and they are both using the same article source now.

Wow, nice tips, I don't learn too often in here anymore. Article marketing works people, I have had days where I saw upwards of 200$ days, but I had to stop because of school and football (Div 1 football, walk-on no scholarship)- My time was all gone -but this thing works, it just takes consistency.

I'm going to dedicate this summer to article marketing, barely doing anything else, and after I make money i'll start with PPC and stuff.

You're wrong mate, you can hire someone to write nice pieces for as low as $3.

Sadly this happens a lot online, but it doesn't really affect you in any way.

Keep going until you hit the spot ;)

I couldn't agree more. 1000 articles a year is quite a lot but the way you put it makes me wonder as I have never look at it this way. 1000 articles for $30k+ per year. Now, with 1000+ articles a year, the number of links pointing to your site would make your site a force to be reckoned with! With those links, you would nominate the smaller niche that you target and the free traffic would generate even more income!
