    10 infractions can get you banned.
    Having a double account gets you banned straightaway.

    You can get infractions for:
    1. Post padding.
    2. Harassing members.
    3. Creating threads in wrong forums.
    4. Spamming
    etc. etc......

    Your infractions (Red cards) could be worth 1-10 points depending on the seriousness of the offence.
    Yellow card infraction is just a warning. And infractions expire with time.

    Although I think 3 can happen to the best of us.
    I have no idea what Post Padding is, but so be it.
    I was just wondering, since I saw a lot of banned people recently. I guess that made me wonder if the rules were tighter these days.

    Trying for some record on getting banned?

    Referring to Grafstein.

    Gets banned, then unbanned for a few days at most, then banned again!

    Wonder how many times he has been banned so far?

    Anyone know who has got banned the most times?

    Hm. Pretty strict rules here. Its a think before you post forum I guess. I cannot guarantee that I will never ever make a mistake again. If what you are saying is true, I think its a bit over the top.

    We're not really that strict. The rules are just a loose guideline. If you post "haha, that's great" once or twice, you won't get an infraction, but if you post that 10 times in a row, it's obvious that you are just trying to pad your post count and you'll probably get an infraction. And getting one or two (or even a few) infractions is no big deal and will not effect you at all. Basically, if you arn't trying to be a jerk off or spamming, you'll be fine ;) :p

    How come iowadawg has more than 3 link in his/her sig. I thought there is a 3 link limit and how come Worldimpulse has so many chars in his sig? When I try to add a few more chars to mine it won't work (complaining about the limit).

    Why should someone be BANNED/WARNED for making a GENUINE mistake? Shouldnt they PM the admin or a mod and get them to deal with it first?

    So you would like us to put our heads together and try to figure out if the mistake was GENUINE or not and then once we deem it a genuine mistake, we should give out a lollipop instead of telling them what they did is not allowed?

    I made this OP to find out and understand the rules and ultimately its up to the admins to set the rules and for us to follow them. I don't want this thread to become a flame war please!
    However some mistakes are obviously genuine (see the link to my wrongly posted article). Since I haven't gotten any warning for it, I think the admins are doing a good job not punishing obvious genuine mistakes.
