I have a website go live about 2 month ago, I've built a lot of(about 2K) back links with an specific key word, but I could still not find my website shows up in the top 300 SERPs, why is that?
Someone told me my website is likely went into Google sandbox. What is Google sandbox? Anyone has an experience of it?

Google Sandbox is still a myth whether it does exist or not. However, I would not recommend to make own assumption on sandbox based on just website ranking not appeared. There are a lot of factors involved including domain age / content age / link age and more to judge.

2 months ago is pretty new if you ask me and I would recommend you continue built up link and put more patient. The road of SEO need patient and steady pace over a haste "quick come and go".

    NO! STOP IT!
You made 2,000 links for a 2 months old domain!!

Give it a break dude! Make sure that a site: search is showing up well. Also submit a sitemap to google, re-check your robots.txt file and add content.

Make sure that you don't build backlinks to only one page of your site. Spread the links around to different pages using different keyword anchor text. I find that Google likes that much better.

I do agree with the post above. 2000 links in two months for a new site is way to many.

Aunty, Why are you spamming the index with a stupied message like this, i notice you've posted it on other posts. Why not help the person who askedthe question rather than trying to build spammy links, your reply does nothing.

I think that thespeed at which you built your links (2k) sounds quite a few in 2 months, may mean that Googlehas viewed your site as a potential spam site. It could be that these links are perfectly legit, but just ease off for the moment. Stick with 5-10 per day max.

Thanks for your information, but I'm getting a bit confused, some said build more links, some said not. I want to hear the SEO guru's voice, experience is the most important thing.

    Why are you confusing?
    > > some said build more links, some said not
Some said not "don't build more links"! They said "don't buils links so fast!". 2k links in 2 months for young site without trust - it seems like a spam.

Building backlinks, light or heavy should be consistent especially if your site is in sandbox. Normally your site should get back in 7 days if you keep adding links during this time.

If you have good backlink you can escape sandbox easily. That is my experience.

Well google sandbox is a load of bull. I have been doing SEO on around 20-25 sites this past year and have not had any of this "sandbox" crap. Its clearly a term that's been made up by those that cant do there SEO work the right way and end up pissing google off or not getting enough SEO done in a timely manner.

To cut it short "google sandbox" is term for "poor SEO" :)

Use different keyword when building backlinks. It's really not natural to have all the same keywords for your 2 000 links.

If your main keyword is "dog training" for example use half of your links with "dog training" and the other half with a mix between some related keywords (dog obedience training,
    dog training courses etc...)

Building backlinks should be natural and gradual or you will be slapped by google especially building those profile links in thousands, stay away.
