Twitter Vs. Facebook

Which one of the Social Networking giants do you prefer for BUSINESS? This is not a thread to talk about which one is more fun to use, but which one is more beneficial as a business tool.

I hope everyone will vote on the poll, and leave a comment stating why the made the choice they did.

I'll start - I like Twitter more because it is simply more efficient as a business tool, I think it's easier to make updates for your customers, and it is very easy to use in general. The fact that you can get analytics programs to go along with Twitter is also very beneficial.

 

Agreed, it's way better for business. Though on the other hand I prefer Facebook over Twitter when it comes to using the sites for fun. But that's not what this thread is about, thanks for posting.

 

I agree that Twitter is way more useful than Facebook as a business tool.

Yeah I did, there are some out there comparing the two, but the ones that I saw weren't specifically talking about which one was better for business, just which one was better in general. Also I didn't see any with Polls, which is what I think will be most interesting about this thread.

Am I right in thinking that the two things mentioned above aren't on DP, or did I miss them?

 

Both are good. Using both gives an advantage in social marketing.

 

Thanks Selenium, I probably should have added a both option for the survey. But this is exciting, they are in a tie right now, I thought Twitter would be getting most of the votes. I'm interested to see how this plays out.

Twitter is more powerful as a business tool.

 

I'm going to say it's even. Although Twitter is much easier to setup and use.

I'm seeing a lot of people say Twitter is better, but still FB is winning. I think Twitter is better because once you have your target audience set up, you can send information TO them, instead of FB where they have to come visit your page.

 

Both are good at their points of view

Facebook is good for community type discussions. etc.
Twitter is good for business tool

 

The question I asked, is which is better in terms of business ONLY. Scorpion I agree with you, Twitter > FB for Business.
