How to check the website inclusion in the directory...?

Discussion in 'ODP / DMOZ' started by sidhu, Jun 15, 2010.

I submitted my website to Open Directory Project www.dmoz.org a few days back. How do I check if my website has been included in the directory....?
Is there a way to login to dmoz like a few other directories....?

    Thanks.

go to the link you offer, put your URL, minus the www, into the search box and it should come up if it has been listed. But search is always a few days out from the live directory, so why not just drill down to the category you offered it to and look (though it also might get moved!).

Be aware too that we are not a listing service and a review for a possible listing can take from a few days to a few years. You have now suggested your site, there is nothing more you can do to promote it in DMOZ, please do not re-submit and you pretty much waste your breath asking what has happened to it.

The maxim really is suggest and forget.

Is that so....! That sounds pretty sad. More so, as we can do nothing about it.
OK, I'll follow the maxim and check it after a few days while keeping my fingers crossed.
    Thanks for reply.

Thanks everyone. I found my answer. The truth is that there's no sure shot way to ensure the inclusion of your website in dmoz Directory.

ODP editors do not email people of the inclusion, the best way to see if has been incuded is to search in the directory for your website.
