How much will forum cost?

Hey guys,

My forum isn't that active, but I have some money now so I wanna spend it on the forums to extend it.
I am having a huge competition this week as well, so hopefully that will help.

What should I spend the money on to get an active forum? I am receiving around 10,000 unique hits per month, but only have 450posts. Most of my traffic goes towards my website.

My site is about gaming. Help is appreciated

 

Are you tracking where this traffic is originating from? If so, I would analyze it and see what's attracting that many visitors and try to improve that content to get members to sign up. As for how much money you should spend, that depends on your budget and what you're trying to accomplish. If this is the first contest that you'll be running I'd recommend starting out with a lower priced prize as a lot of issues can complicate the contest such as cheaters, poor advertising of the contest and so on.

 

First of all cost will depend on traffics that come from areas, how old forums - forums age, type of niche and more.

 

Well my whole site got 10,000 uniques first month. Currently have 4000uniques. The niche is gaming. 10% traffic is organic. Rest is through social bookmarking.
Site is in its second month.

Make some contest, maybe about game, the prize is about game too, maybe console or gaming laptop.
Or pay someone to make your forum more life.

 

A contest is a good idea - give away a copy of the latest game or a console to 1000th poster

 

want more visitor then please use as much as social site, this will give you more traffic

As i can see you got good enough traffic but the visitor are not really interested to join due to low posts.
In this case, it will be better if you spend the money to get some poster (i mean quality poster, not those spammer) to make more quality post, once your forum become active, then more member will like to join
