Is there an opensource eCommerce that doesnt make customers register b4 they purchase

    Hey,

I've been looking for a descent eCommerce script (preferably Opensource = FREE :p)
that works well and is user friendly.

One requirement that I have is that it allows people to purchase without creating an account.

I know myself personally when I'm making a purchase online don't want to have to create an
    account first.

It would also be great to have an internal voucher/coupon option and upsell capabilities.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    JB

You can try Zeuscart - which is a open source software. Looking for software as a service? that makes your work reduced, try ZSCart- and it has a free trial option for 30 days.

That's good to here. However I hear Magento is difficult to build on and I will def need some modifications done to it.

You are right, Magento is such a difficult one to customization. Need to take much cart on shop creation.

By default, yes, however there are plugins that allow for express checkout. Do a search on oscommerce no account and you should find options. The downside is you may have to re-install/administer the plugin with each oscommerce upgrade.

Zencart. Plus, there are plenty of mods for one-page checkout without registration.

With most open source carts, you can usually change the settings so users are not forced to register before purchasing. I know this is the case with Wordpress+WP Ecommerce, Joomla, OsCommerce etc. If it is not in the normal settings it is definitley as a plug in.

Prestashop rocks! Actually you don't even need the module to be able to offer a guest checkout. I had my shop tweaked to allow this feature. Customer adds item to cart and then has option to create profile or use guest checkout. Either way you collect the same info from them and you basically are making them create an account without them thinking they are. Then in confirmation email they receive for purchase, it has a randomly generated password that they can use to log into site and see past transactions.

So it still sounds like they have to create an account based on what you're saying.
