Hi, I developed 45 domain names into minisites. These domains are gaining trust in the search engines. Some are seeing consistent traffic. All of my sites have the same template. Do you think I would see success by developing these mini-sites into full sites? Has anyone done this? Any strategies? Cheers, Andrew
I've changed some mini-sites into larger sites and done well simply because the sales letter I wrote for them converted more buyers. The traffic really didn't change at first, but as I added more through other techniques I saw a marked improvement there, too.
Most of my minisites are for a certain niche. I just provide around 4 articles per site on that particular niche and throw adsense up. I am just not sure if it would be more profitable to expand these sites or keep making minisites.
I think mini with different niche are more better than full site as full site has no more different feature which can be regarded good in Google eyes.
That is the way you should do it. Why waste the time to put up full sites when you don't have a clue if it is worth pursuing? Not all of your sites will be winners. It depends on what the niche is, your competition, and how you design the site. For example, if you are promoting physical products, the silo method/layout is still a darn good way to go. Google will love it as you keep adding pages to it and getting backlinks for those pages. Many folks throw up a mini site and then use PPC to determine if it is worth pursuing. You can tell real quick using this method. Your method takes longer, but is free.
Developing full sites is a good idea but I would suggest to do this in a certain phase for e.g. first develop 5 sites and then you can increase the ratio. This will tell you how the sites are performing. The most important is giving time to this sites to make it successful in SE and for visitors also.
