how to hide wordpress thank you page?

    I am using wordpress as my sales page, the product is digital and therefore after successful payment users are redirected to "thank you" page to download their new file.

    how can I "hide" the download page?
    - robots.txt file is not good idea since its content is readable.
    - wp "exclude pages" plugin is ok, but will it hide the page from search engines and advanced users?
    - how can I make the URL of the file its self to be changed when I change the URL of the page?

    Thx
    G

    Add this to the top of your downloadpage:

    <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW">

    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/robots-meta/

    Try that plugin and add the code to your thankyou page only.

    I use a plugin called the ultimate noindex nofollow tool. All you do is enter the post/page numbers of the page you don't want indexed and you can nofollow it and/or noindex it so the SE's won't pick it up.

    I'd suggest e-junkie.com

    I haven't used them as a vendor, but as a customer. If your product proves profitable you can go with something else like setting up DLGuard. But for just $5 a month you can set up expiring download pages so you won't have to worry about protecting it. It also creates a unique download URL for each customer at the time of purchase. You can also set up how many downloads and email confirmation. They also have a 1 week free trial.
