With your own press release site!

Sometimes you talk about a subject for months, and one day it makes "click" in your head and you wonder why you never thought about this.

So..the recent weeks i had several discussions on forums about Google News, how to get your site into Google news - and PRESS RELEASES. Because i think that many sites are only a rip-off charging money for submitting press releases. (You can do this for free - i never EVER paid for a press release submission!)

    Here is the glorious idea:

You make a news site which should adhere to Google news requirements.
    http://www.google.com/support/news_pub/bin/topic.py?hl=en&topic=11665

This will aggregate your content to Google news!

After your site is accepted into Google news you offer a "press release service" and charge whatever money for people to submit press releases.

People write articles on your site - and the articles get aggregated to Google news.

In addition that you might be making a killing with your "press release site" you can also use your own site to write whatever press releases yourself...and enjoy being #1 for whatever you write because it will all go to google news and likely rank high.

A nice idea but Google would not like the attitude like this, if it has been used too many. Google may fine tuned their ways again if it have been abused, like many which had done before.

There is a huge problem with people writing articles on your website. This will quickly turn to spammy articles and like Sxperm says... Google will not like that.

I think you have the right to filter what guess article to post, and mainly some guest poster will ask you what theme of article that complements you niche she/he would write about.

It's good way, but to make news site that approved by google will be hard.
They have very high standard, don't they?
But it sure if your news site is get bigger, you can charge very high price for it.

Well yes, but as you said yourself there are plenty of sites that distribute press releases for free. What are you offering for paid submission that makes you better then known names like business wire?
