    your question is with insufficent information , make it more informational so that you will be able to get the right feedback.
    but still I have a personal view for SEO , the internet will develop more and more in future and hence there will be more sites genaration e.g. today in every second 1 site is being made and hosted. hence there will be lots of web promotion hence , the sEo will be more evolved.

    It depends on you dear how much you are interested in the particular field.the future is quite safe and bright.you did not mention what you are trying to say about the algorithm.you can be the mater of this field..The whole thing is that the responsibility of the particular site is totally dependent on the seo to give to ranking in search engine .

    Google and others do periodic algorythm updates. The future of SEO.. is more SEO. More and more websites are competing for the same keywords and same 10 spots on google front page every day. This isn't going to get better. So the future of SEO is in good backlinks.
