This iPhone site seems to be reaping huge rewards from this aggregation model, seems like a simplistic way of getting search traffic, especially for established sites: http://www.phprssreader.com/case-study/ Is anyone else using a similar technique? If so, what sort of results are you getting? Thanks!
I have been building for long tailed for the past several months.......according to Google that is going to be their target (for awhile)...until they change again....
Long tail keyword strategy is the bets way to rank for keywords. For eg: If you want to rank for English movies, you can start by ranking for keywords like latest english movies, new english movies. If you notice the keyword english movie is appearing in all the long tail keyword. When you rank for those long tail you start ranking up for english movies as well. This gets you traffic from both side. This is a good technique and I have used it for my sites. Works pretty well.
Here is a tactic. Start typing in keyword into google search box, and you will see what long tail keywords people are actually searching for, and try to rank for them. But LSI is the most important part, because people type in so many variations into the keyword box. No one searches for "plumber" for example. They search for "find a plumber in Tulsa, OK" or something like that. So LSI rules.
