Software recommendation to keep track of manual directory submissions?

    Hi everyone,

We are doing manual submissions in house and wanted to know if there is software that would help us to track directory submissions? We don't want an automated solution necessarily (like an auto submit) just something that allows us to:

    1. Track which of our sites we submitted, to which directories, and when.
    2. The ability to add directories we find not already in the software.
    3. Field to enter when the link was added to the directory or found.
    4. Field for us to keep track of how much the submission costs for each directory if they are paid directories.
    5. Field where we could enter where in the directory the link appears.

We found the following software packages that at least include manual tracking from what we can see:

    http://www.directorysubmitter.com/
    http://www.submiteaze.com
    http://www.submitsmanager.com/

Any recommendations anyone? Some of these are on the costlier side so we don't want to waste money...

    Thanks!

I have found Excel to be unbeatable for tracking.

Haha maybe we need some experience with excel but I think software can work faster if it was designed the right way...

I was considering to develop similar software for link management, but I found here some threads that have doubt about directories future. Do you share the same doubt?

Definitely. Look at how this what has turned into "whole industry" now works, unlike a year or two ago.

But...I have seen people sharing doubts about directories for years already. And they are still there and blossoming (well...what kind of a flower it usually is is another thing).
