Contest $25 Logo Contest for new General Topic Site

Launching a new site that will be a general blog with topics ranging from movies, tv, hobbies, daily life, and just about everything else.

I need a catchy logo that is clean yet creative and fun, but also professional looking.
It can incorporate an image BUT that is not mandatory. If it is a text logo please BE CREATIVE/original and don't just use fonts that everyone else uses.

Additional Details
Site name: Shouting Quietly
Colors: Looking for logo with dark blue, grays, with a hint of brighter colors.
Size: I am open to any shape or size for consideration, but 400 px by 250 px is a good size to use to start.
Placement: This logo will be used initially in the UPPER LEFT corner of the site in the header, no should be wider then it is tall.
File Format: After the winning logo is chosen I will need files in layered .psd or .pdf format (for Photoshop use). All the layers should be accessible for color adjustment, etc.

Payment: $25 Payment will be sent via PayPal. I am a verified PayPal user with a long track record of positive transactions, including multiple ones from this site for other logos.

Winner Determined by: MY opinion of the best logo posted.
I WILL be providing feedback on each design posted and requesting adjustments to consider if I like the design.

Time Limit: As soon as someone posts what I’m looking for or something else I like BUT HOPEFULLY in the next 3-5 days and by 6/13/09

Here three different concepts I came up with. I'm not sure if it's the type of logo you were seeking but... I can change the colors, resize the images, move things around, as well as export it as (almost) any type of file, if you require. 1st is a combination S and Q and mute symbol with text, 2nd a simple text bubble, and 3rd with an (self-vectored) icon megaphone.

First off - thank you for your submission. Those are not jumping out at us at this time. They don't seem to capture to us anything related to the site. That is not mandatory, but where we seem to be right now. Thank you again though for your effort!

now this one is getting closer to what I am thinking. I am not sure I like the cartoon with the big tongue, but maybe another image there. The lettering for "Shouting Quietly" I do like this direction. Any other thoughts on other possible images or cartoons to incorporate into the lettering or similar lettering. We see this site as being both professional and fun, but also something read by a wide range of people, ages, etc.

Ok, I got totally abstract on this one. I ended up sketching & illustrating 2 faces merged into 1 with the left half lightly shouting and the right half holding a finger up to the lips to symbolize "Hush, quite, keep the tone down".

like the direction and creativity, but not the 3 eyes. I get what you were trying to do, but might be to "strange" lol. Can you do one with 2 eyes, normal face (not merged one) and the finger to the mouth similar to what you have now
