Forum signature adds any good?

what do you guys think about forum sig adds?
Is it worth to pay money for one of a poster with several thousand posts?

 

If the links are relevant to the forum you are in, it is some of the best targeted traffic you can get, second only to search engines from my experience. Just don't expect massive amounts of traffic from it, but the traffic is very high quality. That is why so much is outsourced...

It helps a lot. Its depend on how you participate in the forum. You have to make good post and participate in niche forums.

Obviously it helps but not that much as compared to backlinks , though no harm in keeping your links and getting some traffic.

 

Its worth a try if the price is right. I wouldn't rely on this to be your only traffic generation method thou.

I have found them very useful . Especially when the forum is relevant to your links

 

you will only get significant traffic if you are seen as a top contributor in the forum but as many of the above posters mentioned, every little effort count!

I always include a link in my signature since posting in forums is something I enjoy and if I receive a little benefit from it then that just makes it even better.

 

Definately. If the poster posts good quality posts, maninly in the forum categories that pertain to your potential customers. And they have a good reputation within the community. You will get lots of good direct traffic. Not to mention the help that a few thousand links can give.

 

There are some poeple who really make money by selling signatures, and that's useful to promote our sites if this person post much and the forum do-follow

 

Forum sig links are very valuable in terms of targeted traffic and SEO, especially if they are related. I tested it once by adding a link to a new affiliate minisite that was related to home improvement on a DJ forum that I had roughly 250 comments on, went from page 8 to page 4 in a week. two weeks later i removed the signature and a week later it was back to page 8. So even with unrelated forums there are still some SEO benefits!
