In your opinion, which social media site is the best for marketing?

    Hi,
I'm just looking for opinions here. I am new at marketing/social marketing and have only made 20$ for as long as I've done it. I am wondering what experiences you've had, and where you've had the most success.
I have personally started off with facebook, twitter and tagged.com. Though the 20$ did not come from CPA. I want to know, which sites do you use and which methods have been successful for you. If you could also put a number on your success, meaning if you launched a campaign of some sort, what was your expected outcome and what was your actual outcome? And what are your ideas for the future?

Thank you in advance for your sharing :) I will also put updates from my own experiences as I'm going to start doing some more serious marketing in two weeks, when I'm done with my exams for the summer.

I would try and use some social bookmarking sites like Delicious, Digg, Reddit etc to boost your PageRank by increasing the incoming links to your site. The more links you have to your site will also increase your Search Engine Ranking and you will get long term, free traffic from search engines.

social bookmarking is the best way to go. Twitter is good for linking to your blog posts as this also gets indexed real quick, however if all your tweets have links in then your account can look spammy!

I have found facebook very difficult to market with, I think users have become numb all the advertising yarn!

I have used Digg, Reddit, Stumbleupon. It is good for the start in order to establish your site and build PR. Once you get enough
high quality backlinks, and targeted traffic everything will be easy.

So basically, no one has had success with facebook in any way? Not through anything? Can I ask, how much money do you normally earn/month doing online marketing, and how long did it take for you to get to a stage where you saw success?

And - Which CPA sites do you use? Or do you resell products through sites like clickbank?

Thanks for all your answers! :)

In terms of end traffic - digg.com, followed by either stumbleupon.com, or reddit.

Well, from what I heard, you're not allowed to use CPA ads on Facebook anymore though I'm not really sure. Though I have heard about some people that basically set up a joint venture with a person who has a huge fan page. So the internet marketer will pay like 50% of the commission they make from the CPA ad to the owner of the fan page in return for the fan page owner promoting the ads.

When I started with my main website, I first bookmarked it on the main bookmark sites. Then I made some videos and I'm building some backlinks as regular as possible.

All of them? Don't put all your eggs in one basket! Or in this case... don't put all your links on one domain!

it should be pretty clear by now that there is no one magic bullet social site out there; it's all angles working at once: facebook, twitter, article marketing, forums.....
