You must also submit it to google.

Google has slowed down on indexing new blogspot blogs a lot lately. I've noticed it a good bit. I would focus on getting as much content on it as I could. I would also be submitting the rss feed and writing some articles on ezine to get some links that will keep the bots on you. Also link it in your sig here.

when u update ur blog submit it to social bookmarking websites and pinging websites, google will be notify about ur new content and index your blog soon. if you update ur blog with fresh content on a daily basis then google will index ur blog within 10 to 15 minutes after posting ur content

 

There is an option on Blog template to submit to Google. I don't see any difference in ranking or indexing blogspots than any other pages.
